Cemre Kavvasoglu is the Product Management Director for North America at ADASTEC (www.adastec.com). Mr. Kavvasoglu boasts over 5 years of experience in the realm of autonomous vehicles. His rich career spans from his time as an Autonomous Driving Development Engineer at AVL to significant roles at ADASTEC in Istanbul, where he was pivotal in managing several EU deployments. In 2022, Mr. Kavvasoglu was appointed as the Product Management Director, North America, where he has been managing the first-ever full-sized Level 4 automated bus deployment in North America at Michigan State University. This landmark project marked ADASTEC's emergence as a leader in the North American market. Currently, he is also leading the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus project in Buffalo and another automated bus deployment at Michigan State University. These initiatives are pioneering, introducing the first Level-4 automated buses that meet FMVSS, ADA, and Buy America compliance. Additionally, Mr. Kavvasoglu played a key role in securing an agreement with a bus OEM to manufacture automated buses, further cementing ADASTEC's presence in the North American market. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics Engineering, a Master of Science in Power Electronics and Clean Energy Systems, and is advancing his expertise through a Ph.D. in Mechatronics Engineering.
