In January of 2018, Peter became CEO of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of California where he oversaw the transformation of the association to being a mission-based organization. AGC of California believes the construction industry is vital to the success of California. Through its members, AGC actively creates opportunities to build and strengthen the state by shaping policy, improving industry relationships, and developing the construction workforce. Over his tenure at AGC, Peter has seen the organization’s revenue increase 120%, staff increase to 54 people, and engagement increase to 85% of the entire membership.
Prior to his current position with AGC, Peter served as a Chief of Staff to a US Congressman in Washington, DC as well as heading up multiple associations throughout California.
Peter was recognized as a “Most Admired CEO” in 2023 and a “40 Under 40” in 2013 by the Sacramento Business Journal and the “Built Community Impact Award” from BuildOUT California in 2022.
He graduated from California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) with a BA in Government and from the University of Southern California (USC) with a master’s degree in public administration.
