Dr. Aimee Flannery, P.E., has more than 30 years of transportation experience, including multimodal operational analysis, safety modeling, ITS evaluations, preliminary design and risk and resilience assessments. For the past 12 years, she has led quantitative risk and resilience modeling for multiple state DOTs and national research for the Transportation Research Board. Since 2022, Aimee has served as Jacobs’ global principal for transportation risk and resilience, serving as principal investigator for multiple projects such as NCHRP 23-32, which will inform a new AASHTO standard. Previously, she worked at the USDOT, Office of the Secretary, in research and technology, addressing congressional mandates and executive orders on climate change and resilience. From 2000 to 2011, Aimee was a tenured professor in civil, infrastructure and environmental engineering at George Mason University. She holds a doctorate from Penn State and a bachelor’s and master’s from Wayne State University. She is a licensed P.E. in Michigan.
