Laura Chace was named president and CEO of ITS America in August 2021. She promotes policies that support the development and safe deployment of intelligent transportation technologies to save lives, reduce crashes and congestion, lower emissions, and expand mobility options for all Americans. Previously, she served as the association’s chief operating officer. Chace has extensive experience in strategic planning, operations, communications and advocacy, with a proven record of implementing complex initiatives through stakeholder collaboration. She has served on several advisory committees to the U.S. Department of Transportation focused on integrating emerging technologies into the transportation system. Chace brings 20 years of trade association management experience, having previously worked at USTelecom and the American Trucking Association. Earlier in her career, she served in the Clinton administration at the U.S. Department of Justice and in the White House. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University.
