Mitch Petterson is a member of the public engagement team at General Motors. As part of his role, he serves as a subject matter expert and trainer in GM’s EV First Responder Training Program. Mitch retired after a 28-year career as a firefighter/paramedic with a fire department in the Detroit metropolitan area. Throughout his fire service career, he held various roles and ranks, including serving as fire chief for the last six years. Mitch is a certified fire instructor and EMS instructor/coordinator. He holds a bachelor’s degree in public safety administration and a master’s degree in business administration
