Alicia Lopez is chief innovation officer at FlatironDragados, recognized for her leadership in delivering engineering and design for multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects across North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. She spearheads the company’s innovation program, positioning FlatironDragados as a leader in construction technology and forward-thinking practices. In her role, Lopez oversees the Design Management Group, ensuring design excellence from the pursuit phase through substantial completion by aligning creativity with practical execution. She also directs the Digital Services Group, advancing BIM/VDC practices in the heavy civil industry to enhance project delivery and operational efficiency. Her leadership is defined by a commitment to innovation, collaboration and delivering value across the company’s diverse portfolio. Lopez holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, a bachelor’s in business administration and management, and a master’s in public-private partnerships. She also completed the Technology Leadership Program at the University of California, Berkeley.
