Ed Driggs represents District 7 on the Charlotte City Council, where he serves on the Transportation, Planning and Development and Jobs and Economic Development committees. He brings a strong background in finance, having advised corporate clients on strategic transactions and securities offerings. Driggs is actively engaged with the North Carolina General Assembly on issues affecting Charlotte and has secured funding for roads and sidewalks in his district. He meets weekly with constituents and is committed to advancing the city’s mobility goals and implementing the recently adopted Unified Development Ordinance. His civic involvement includes board service with Communities in Schools, Goodwill Industries of Southern Piedmont, the Blumenthal Center for the Performing Arts and the Arts and Science Council. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Princeton University and studied mathematical economics at Berlin and Oxford Universities. Driggs is a Paul Harris Fellow and recipient of the David Bruger Prize for service to public television.
